“Federations” Expansion For Stellaris Brings A Powerful Galactic Organization

Probably most of the guys wanted to become astronauts when they were kids, in order to explore deep space and encounter super advanced civilizations from other planets which can provide us the secrets of the Cosmos. Now we have the chance to do all that in the Stellaris video game!

Stellaris was released three years ago by Paradox Interactive, who also developed it. Now, the game is expecting the “Federations” expansion later this year, which will be the establishment of a powerful galactic senate.

Prepare for the Lithoids

Want even more aliens? The Universe is a pretty big and various place, and you know what they say about nature having endless possibilities. Luckily, the developers of the game seemed to consider these aspects, and they will bring a new species of aliens: the Lithoids. You can preorder the pack for only $8, and you’ll get the chance to use it in the game after October 24.

You can get the Stellaris game via Xbox Game Pass, a monthly subscription service for Xbox and PC that requires $10 per month from a user. However, you can get only the standard version of Stellaris, without any expansions. You’ll have to buy the patches separately if you want them.

What exactly is Stellaris?

According to Wikipedia, Stellaris is a 4X real-time grand strategy game set in space, beginning in the year 2200. Stellaris’s gameplay revolves around space exploration, managing an empire, diplomacy, and space warfare with other spacefaring civilizations. It was released worldwide for Windows, OS X, and Linux on May 9, 2016, and was released on February 26, 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Players take control of a species in its early stages of interstellar space exploration, in a time when spaceships faster than light exists. Depending on several factors, such as the ethics of the civilization and the player’s desires, the ultimate goal of the empire can range from galactic conquest, hoarding of resources and technological supremacy, to the peaceful coexistence or absolute destruction of all other sentient life.
