Facebook Messenger Lite Rolled Out With Improvements

Facebook is the undisputed champion of social media networks, offering access to a service that is popular all over the world.
The iconic platform was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and his four roommates as a means of communication for students who attended Harvard University. However, the popularity of the website and interest from students who attended other universities was overwhelming, and Facebook started to accept members from other Ivy League schools, MIT and higher education institutions.

Since 2006 any person over the age of 16 years can create a Facebook account if they have a valid email address or phone number. Facebook has promised that access will remain free for as long as the service is available, and revenue is generated from ads and partnerships.

About Facebook Messenger Lite

The company anticipated the spread of smartphones as the next mean of mass communication and released dedicated apps which allow users to access the service and send messages. The classic Facebook Messenger app is one of the most popular messaging apps in the word, but it can consume a large number of resources.

However, Facebook took this into account and decided to release Facebook Messenger Lite, a streamlined version of Facebook Messenger that offers access to most features while also being lightweight.

Facebook Messenger Lite allows users to:

  • Interact will all their Facebook contacts, send messages, and receive messages and see when people are online.
  • To create groups that facilitate certain tasks, among which we can count the organization of meetings, trips, and projects.
  • Send a variety of files in a seamless manner, including photos, short audio clips, videos, documents, and much more.
  • Perform call for free over Wi-Fi or a cellular network without the need to pay extra even if the other person is at the end of the world.
