The Darksiders trilogy is receiving a new spin-off game, according to an announcement made by THQ Nordic back in June. With its latest release in November 2018, Darksiders is a hack and slash action-adventure video game franchise created by Vigil Games, and it’s now being developed by Gunfire Games.
The upcoming Darksiders game will be called Darksiders Genesis, and it’s expected to arrive for usual platforms like PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Even more, it will be available also to be played on Google’s upcoming console, the Google Stadia, which will be launched next month.
Release date is on December 5
The release date for Darksiders Genesis has finally been revealed by the developer Airship Syndicate and THQ Nordic. Therefore, the fourth installment of the game series will be available to grab on December 5, 2019, via Steam by the owners of PCs and Google Stadia consoles. The game will be available for the rest of the platforms starting Valentine’s Day 2020, on February 14.
There’s good news for those who cannot resist the temptation of pre-ordering Darksiders Genesis: pre-orders are currently open for those who want to play the game on their PC’s. You can place the orders through Steam or through the official site of the game. This way, you’ll even get a discount. But you’ll have to hurry up since the pre-order period will end in a bit more than a month, on December 5, the release date of the game.
If you’re a Darksiders fan, you should definitely consider purchasing the new game since the developers announced some improved gameplay. Darksiders Genesis promises much more action since it’s going to introduce a two-player co-op mode. The game will also feature an online co-op mode. So you’d better prepare with your friends to face that apocalyptic scenario and beat up all those pesky demons!
