CD Projekt had expressed officially their fear of not getting ready Cyberpunk 2077 for an April release. It is known that the game will be available next year on platforms such as PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. However, an interview with Gamespot shows how John Mamais, one of the CD Projekt developers, had second thoughts. He said, “Everyone is working really hard right now because it’s a tight deadline for us; the game is really big and large-scope. We’re pushing it to the wall.” Mamais also admitted some of his colleagues’ fear of the April release, but the team is working harder than usual to meet the deadline in time. The launch date was announced at an Xbox E3 conference by the actor Keanu Reeves. Cyberpunk 2077 is said to have a strong plot, well developed for making friends and taking partners. Also, the skill system has been reported to be truly immense. In the game, players will achieve progression bonuses for getting to know better other new skills or increasing their attributes.
Moreover, players will get to install new specific chips, each time they level up. For example, if a player uses his weapon and upgrades it, he’ll get more skill. One significant feature is Street Cred, which players can achieve by succeeding with tasks. After that, they can access dangerous missions with even more rewards.
Cyberpunk 2077 is right now one of the most expected games. It is being adapted from the 1990 tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020. Its action is set 57 years later in dystopian Night City. It promises a lot, and according to the official footage, it could be one of the best games so far. The gameplay demo showed how Cyberpunk could fit easily on platforms such as PS5 or Xbox Scarlett, as well.
