Clash Of Clans News: Here’s Supercell’s Latest Decision

Clash of Clans is definitely one of the most popular mobile games in the modern history – remember that in 2019 alone, the game had more than $722 million in revenue.

The game’s fans went crazy with excitement not too long ago when it’s been revealed the Clash of Clans World Championship 2020.

You probably recall that Supercell and ESL announced that the tournament would feature a prize pool of one million dollars, which sounds really exciting as well.

It’s been also announced the fact that the format of this tournament will be pretty similar tot he one from last year, according to the latest data coming from Dot Esports.

Supercell makes an important decision

Clash of Clans and Brawl Stars developer Supercell decided that it’s time to slow down on the employee growth in a bid to preserve the company’s culture. The firm entered its second decade of existence, and this is a pretty big deal.

Supercell CEO Ilkka Paananen highlighted this new decision in a letter and said that some members of staff had raised some important concerns saying that the company was growing too rapidly after it expanded to over 300 employees last year.

He also suggested that it’s time to limit growth and bring more innovation, according to the reports coming from Gamasutra.

“We had a big discussion about [our growth] and, as a result, decided to slow down significantly until we feel confident that we can keep our culture intact despite the growth,” he wrote.

He continued and said: “For someone outside Supercell, the above might sound really odd, even very inward-focused. But, we believe that without our unique culture, and the small-company feel that goes with it, we could not develop the best games for you.”

We suggest that you check out the complete letter in which various essential plans for the second decade of SUpercell’s life are pointed out.
