Call of Duty: Warzone Is Now Available To Download, Even Without Modern Warfare

The latest Call of Duty battle royale chapter is now available. Activision recently announced that Call of Duty: Warzone is the next free-to-play battle royale game. The series supports up to 150 players. As anticipated, it launched on March 10 and is available to users who got a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and for those who don’t own one, too. Modern Warfare users received access to Warzone a few hours early, but now everybody can download it.

However, get ready for a massive download! If you don’t have Modern Warfare, there are some tips and tricks to download COD: Warzone. Modern Warfare players could download the Warzone series at 8 AM OT on March 10. The update was 15-22GB, depending on the device the user plays. Accessing Modern Warfare should open the update if it hasn’t already started. But, if you got any issues, try restarting your system. For those who don’t have Modern Warfare, they should expect an 80-100GB download.

Call of Duty: Warzone More Details

Call of Duty: Warzone was spotted for the first time as a locked space on the Modern Warfare main menu on Season 2. Even if we have seen it in Modern Warfare, previous rumors have indicated that Warzone will arrive both as standalone and free, not needed a Modern Warfare to play. Recently, many details about Warzone have been confirmed by a now-pulled video displaying its gameplay.

The leak confirmed that the game wouldn’t allow 1v1 matches in a gulag to ensure revival. It introduces support for the same cross-play as Modern Warfare’s multiplayer, and a feature of up to 150 players at launch. Also, Warzone has yet to be explicitly specified by both developer Infinity Ward, and the in-game countdown. It’s anticipated that this tease will coincide with the release of the game across PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
