Apex Legends: Grand Soirée Event to Come With Limited-Time Modes

As Season 3 of the popular Apex Legends is ending, the game developers are planning to operate a variety of limited-time modes for two full weeks.

The battle royale title’s Grand Soirée event is going live on January 14th, with seven different pivoting game modes, each being available for two days. This will enable players to participate in both new and old limited-time modes, such as Gold Rush and the third-person mode.

The Grand Soirée Event

Focusing on the Roaring Twenties, the Grand Soirée event comes with a variety of similarly-themed cosmetics, such as fancy weapon skins and neat character outfits. The principal attraction, though, is the limited-time mode arcade event. Going live on January 14th, and ending on January 28th, developer Respawn Entertainment will regularly spin the limited-time modes for a more immersive and exciting experience.

The list of modes includes similar ones, such as Kings Canyon After Dark, Gold Rush, and more, but there will also be new entries available, such as the long-rumored Third-Person mode, and DUMMIE’s Big Day. The publisher did not cater to more details about the new modes, so you’ll have to try them yourself when they come live.

Besides all these modes, Respawn has also rebooted event challenges into a new prize track system that allegedly ‘gives everyone more rewards and more ways to earn.’ Players will be able to compete in the limited-time Soirée challenges, with each of them worth 1000 points, to head to the Event Prize Track, which allows them to unlock rewards.

“We’ve tuned the system so that you don’t need to be there every day,” writes Respawn. “But the socialites among you will also receive a special badge for trying every mode. And don’t worry, you’ll still be able to complete your battle pass challenges throughout the event too.”

In addition, players who have little points have the possibility to catch up by completing extra tasks worth 500 points in the Bonus Scoring Weekend, starting on January 17th and ending on January 20th.

Apex Legends Grand Soirée event marks the end of the third season of the game. Season 4 is expected to launch on February 4th, one year after the title’s release.
