Angry Birds Update is Here; The Series Will Get a New Movie

Angry Birds took the world by storm when it launched back in 2009, and it soon enough topped the ranks. Developed and published by Finnish gaming studio Rovio Entertainment, the title is a casual puzzle video game.

Angry Birds-Inspired Series to Get a New Movie

Due to its phenomenal success, the game has inspired The Angry Birds Movie, which was released in the United Kingdom and then made available all over the world in 2006. Now, Netflix and CAKE have partnered with Rovio Entertainment to announce a new animated series called Angry Birds: Summer Madness, based on the unique and interesting world of the Angry Birds.

The series will have 40 episodes, lasting for 11 minutes, and will debut globally in 2021, taking a cue from the original movies for its humor and tone, while also unveiling a brand new look.

Angry Birds: Summer Madness will allegedly feature the much-loved birds Red, Bomb, and Chuck, as well as a set of other new birds as tween feathered creatures at a summer camp under the arguable guidance of their counselor Mighty Eagle.

Ville Heijari the CMO of Rovio Entertainment said: “Angry Birds animated content plays a key role in our long-term franchise strategy. After more than a decade in hit games, blockbuster movies, and licensed products, this is the Angry Birds’ first foray into a long-form series. We’re delighted to continue our partnership with CAKE and can’t wait to unveil the world of Angry Birds: Summer Madness to viewers on Netflix.”

Angry Birds Update

Back to the game that inspired the comic series, Angry Birds developers have once again released a new update for the title. In order to celebrate Easter, players now get a new Easter hat set and a brand new adventure inspired by the holiday.

Angry Birds update now also allows players to personalize their flock with whatever hats they fancy. The highest power among the hats ‘will always be in effect,’ the official patch notes say.
