Nokia is slowly but surely on the right way of regaining its lost glory. The Finnish company was a world leader in the mobile phone market over two decades ago. Although phones nowadays are vastly superior to what existed back in that time, Nokia has plenty of ways to take advantage of its resources.
Unfortunately, the ongoing pandemic is delaying and messing up a lot of things, and so it happens with Nokia’s Android 10 update for Nokia 5.1 Plus. The phone was originally scheduled to receive the update during the first quarter of 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic pushed the event further to the second quarter of the year.
The update arrives in May
Those users who are eager to see the latest version of Android running on their Nokia 5.1 Plus phones, won’t have to wait for long. Nokia support says that the Android 10 update will arrive anytime soon, but most probably in May. This means that the users will have to wait a maximum of one month and a half before receiving the Android 10 update on their smartphones.
Released two years ago, Nokia 5.1 Plus is a good deal for those not so numerous users willing to play games on their smartphones. The gadget is equipped with 3 to 6 GB of RAM, and a powerful octa-core Mediatek MT6771 Helio P60 processor. Those who want a great camera for their phones might be disappointed by the 5.1 Plus model since it’s equipped with a dual-camera on the rear of 13 MP, and an 8 MP front camera. However, the video capability is capable of HD recording.
With Android 11 arriving in May as well, by the middle of the month, it’s nice to see that so many phones are receiving the current best version of Android. The ninth version will become obsolete, and that’s something that Android users have to deal with.
